Toro Credits

Toro Credits (TC) are Toromarket's in-game virtual currency. Every balance, trade, order, and payout across the platform is denominated in TC.

No real-world value
TC is a game currency. It cannot be withdrawn, cashed out, or exchanged for any real-world currency or asset. Toromarket is a simulated trading platform — nothing on the platform involves real money.

Starting balance

When you create an account you receive a starting personal balance of TC. This balance is yours to use on crypto trading, prediction markets, and any other solo activity on the platform.

Joining a fund is separate: each fund has its own pooled TC balance that the fund's members operate on collectively. Your personal balance and your share of a fund balance are tracked independently.

How TC moves

  • Prediction markets — limit and market orders debit TC when placed and credit TC when they fill or resolve. Open limit orders reserve TC until they fill or are cancelled.
  • Crypto trading — buying crypto debits TC and credits a position; selling reverses it. All crypto trading is simulated against live market data.
  • Funds — joining a fund stakes TC from your personal balance into the fund. Leaving a fund refunds your share based on the current fund value.
  • Wars — Trading Wars don't require a stake; winners receive a TC reward and an ELO change.
  • Gamification — challenges, quests, streaks, and mystery boxes can grant TC as rewards.

Formatting

Amounts are shown with thousands separators and the TC suffix — for example 10,000 TC or 10,000.50 TC where a fractional amount is meaningful. The API returns TC as standard JSON numbers.

Audit trail

Every TC movement is logged. Funds and personal balances are reconcilable by replaying all cash operations from the ledger, which is how we verify the integrity of the economy.
